Hi All...

Got my '98 green LC in Sept. last year with 600 miles on it. Don't know what prompted the previous owner to sell it but don't care. In northern Ohio the season's kind of limited but I have managed to put 4,000 on it so far.

Done some minor stuff too, Memphis Fats shield, Leather-likes, sissy bar and rack and struggling with the next change. Paint, light bar, pipes ??????????? Decisions, decisions. Also had some of the little problems y'all did - pair valve, squeaky break, etc. So what?

Did the Honda Hoot in Ashville this year and it was so - so. Mostly wings and pretty tame. Saw a couple of other LCs and they, of course, looked great! For those that have never done the Smokies; We can't say enough good about them. Good? Make that GREAT: roads, with smooth asphalt lots of curves and not very many bears (the kind w/ badges). The Blue Ridge continues to be my favorite road in the whole world. There's just no way to make time 'cause you've got to stop for the ooohs and ahhhhs every couple of miles. Lots of little places to check out and depending on your attitude; You can really put your 1500 through her paces. Been there dozens of times and we'll go back some more.

I'm a converted wing rider and I wouldn't go back for anything! Nothing against them but they really don't touch your soul like our Intruders do. I still get a rush every time I hit the starter and really enjoy, even w/ all the stupid cages out there, every mile going down the road. Interstates, 2 lanes or city streets I can't help but catch myself smiling every time I twist the throttle. We haven't done any 600 mile days on the 1500 yet, but have no doubt we will, and we'll be just fine when we get where we're going.

My wife Joan (married 20 years and been riding together for 21) loves to ride on the pillion. We've logged a whole lotta miles together and I can't imagine a better riding partner. Once we got the layer thing figured out for the cold we have had some great adventures together - camping, touring, but most of all just digging the sights and sounds of the road that only riders can experience. She's got the passenger thing down cold and it's a whole lotta fun to ride w/ her. Sorry 'bout the quality of the pictures but they were taken in a cloud and getting the light right was beyond me.

Keep it in the wind and hope to see you out there.
