The most noticed thing on the bike is the license plate. I suffer from chronic foot pain and have handicap plates on all my vehicles including my LC. The local motor vehicle office has only issued three handicap plates in the last twenty years!
I've been riding a lot lately and am really glad I bought the LC. I just have to get my body tuned into riding again. I enjoy riding it to work cause a couple of "bikers" at work are very jealous of my LC. They were the resident experts on motorcycles and talked bikes all the time. One owns a 1200 Harley and the other a 750 Honda ACE. They don't talk around me any more and one of the other guys said I have the best looking Bike that has ever come into this yard. When I leave they just watch me, I guess they are waiting for me to show off or something. The LC Shows off enough in its own right. If I tried to showoff I would be taking away from what is close to perfection. Besides I'm almost 52 years old. I drilled six holes in the backing plate of the mufflers, it really improved the sound. Also put saddle bags on the bike.
I rode the LC to my brother's wedding October 30,1999. A costume wedding I when as a Motorcyclist and my wife as a motorcycle Momma. The LC was a big Hit with everyone although a few though it was a Harley.
