We're back again! - Since last winter lots of things changed on my bike. -
At first my air cleaner was fixed. The next project was changing the flashing lights for some smaller ones. I found them at DPM. They also supplied the oil cooler thing. Relocated the horn with some HD stuff.
After that the corbin seat was placed on the bike. And this felt much much better!
One thing what I always wanted to change is the handle bar. So I went looking for another one. I found a beach bar (almost 40") at the White Bros. Together with some Arlen Ness handle bar grips it was complete! The electric cables just fitted with the new bar. Only the hydraulic cables had to be changed. So I found a local guy in Holland who could provide me with the right ones. After installing everything (not everything fitted just right) I was ready for summer! Only changed the footpegs for Arlen Ness ones, the same design as the grips.
So I had a lot of fun this summer. The coming winter project will be painting, a dyno jet kit stage 3 and dynacoil. And maybe if there is some money left: polishing the alumina. After that the bike is pretty how I would like it to see......
Keep the pistons pumping!!
Best regards,
  John

In october 1997 I was an owner of a purple yellow Honda CBR. Very fast and I liked it a lot. My buddy had a red VS1400 and together we went to a bike show in Amsterdam. Each year all the new models are presented there. I was just visiting for fun, absolutely no plans for a new bike. The Honda was just one year old.
Anyway as we went along all the brands on the market, we arrived at Suzuki. My buddy was interested in the new intruder because perhaps he would buy a new one.

When we saw the bikes we were both stunned. Just gazing at it and saying nothing. Instantly he walked to the green one and I went to the yellow one. After a while we spoke eachother again, and it was an understatement we both liked them! And so we went to a dealer in Rotterdam (nearby we live) and went to the sales person. We told him what we saw and asked when the bikes were introduced in Holland. He said that would be in march 1998. That was a long time to wait, but ok. We also wanted some accesoiries on it. At that time he did'n know the existance of any. So we told him what was available.
In march my bike arrived at last. It was the fourth bike in Holland when it came in. Then the first ride was there. I took place on the big bike and started it, it was amazing. It was totally differtent of course on what I was used to, but I loved it. At that point we were also looking for accesoires to customize it. Suzuki had delivery problems (so the sissy bar arrived 4 months later!, ordered in october 97).

In Holland there are almost no aftermarket suppliers, so we went to the US through the internet. We ordered some cobra accesories, like the drag pipes, jetting kit and reservoir covers. The next pictures will show some more. We are now working on the forward controls, a new 'air cleaner' (many thanks to Coy or Coyote as you know him for giving it to me!), handlebars, mirrors and much more.... So stay tuned........
